Due to the TRAI 13th amendment, we are unable to allow our customers to publish ExoPhone numbers on their websites. More about the 13th amendment can be found here----> https://exotel.com/blog/trai-13th-amendment/. In order to use Exotel, we would require you to use your own number with Exotel, and here's how you can do it.
Forward calls from your Existing number (Preferably Vodafone) to your ExoPhone number, which would then route the calls to your agents.
It works best if your existing number is a Vodafone number (else, we could guide you with porting your number to
Vodafone) for the following reasons:
a) No Call Forwarding tone:- In most of the other operators the call forwarding tone 'Please wait your call has been Forwarded" can be heard; which is not the case with Vodafone
If for any instance, the call-forwarding tone is heard, we can have the same removed, please refer to our document on prerequisites to remove the same----> Call forwarding tone removal
b) Switch-level forwarding:- The call forwarding in Vodafone happens at the switch level hence, customer calls would directly land on Exotel eliminating call forwarding time.
You can make your other Numbers the Customer Facing Number and forward the calls to your ExoPhones. This will enable the callers to be routed to Exotel's call flow.
