I’m using a template to update my customers on the tracking numbers. This is marked as promotional and not transactional in SMS Settings. Does this mean the SMS may not reach DND customers?
Answer:
As per the TRAI regulation for SMS in India, to be compliant with DLT scrubbing guidelines and send SMS using Exotel, you must register your entity in any of the DLT portals and get the templates approved. Promotional SMSs will not get delivered to the numbers on DND.
