The values in the "Direction" column of a call report are outbound-api and outbound-dial. 

An outgoing call performed via the API is known as outbound-api (most likely through the call connect API). An example of this is a Click-to-Call made through an API that is integrated with any CRM utilising the Connect API.

An outbound call is one that is placed from the dashboard or another device (through the call button or campaign etc.)
