Once your Exotel credit balance becomes zero/negative, all the services will be deactivated meaning you will not be able to make and receive calls or send SMSs using Exotel. We send out a Low Balance Alert email to all the account admins (only if the notification for this kind is 'turned on' on the dashboard) 4 days in advance once we detect that your current usage might exhaust all the existing credits. Therefore, it is important that you register with an email ID that you regularly use to receive these notifications.   


Once your credit balance becomes zero, we will send out Daily Recharge Reminders to help you top up your account for the next 10 days. If the account is not recharged even after this period, the following would happen -

  • All your ExoPhones will be put back into the pool so that other people can buy them. You can no longer recover this number.
