In certain cases, there is a requirement to onboard an Exophone on Whatsapp Business. To onboard a WhatsApp business number, an OTP is required to complete the onboarding process. Exophone cannot receive SMS OTP since they are landline numbers, we can trigger voice OTP on Exophone and route the Exophone calls to our personal number to receive the voice OTP.
Routing the calls from Exophone to personal number:
Login to my.exotel.com with your credentials
Go to App Bazaar
Create the flow by clicking on Create next to custom apps
Name the flow anything you like (Eg: Kashish Direct Routing)
Place the Connect applet at the start of the flow
Click on the Connect applet in the flow
Keep Configure using the flow builder here selected at the top
Scroll down and under the Dial Whom option select the Dial phone number(s) option
Enter your personal number in the Text Input area
This is how your flow will look like once this done
Save the flow and exit.
To connect this flow to an Exphone, go to Exophone section
Search the Exophone in the search bar (First purchase the Exophone if you don’t have any Exophone in your account)
- Under INSTALLED APP section, choose the flow you just created to attach to flow to the Exophone
Once this is done, all the calls coming to this Exophone will be routed to your personal number
You can use this Exophone for onboarding the number on Whatsapp and triggering the Voice OTP.
